Biographical / Historical

In the early years of the college, from 1921-1969, events at the college were recorded by the sisters of the Holy Child Jesus in House Journals. Entries could be anything from the names of the incoming freshman, dated entries of events held on campus, visits from Bishop Fulton Sheen and more. The journals also include programs, invitations and newsclippings to supplement entries.

The College Charter was created on 18th of March 1922, with the By-Laws of Rosemont College of the Holy Child Jesus created in the 1920s as well. The Charter and By-Laws of Directors and Adminstration was not created until 1964, with the merger of Board of Directors and the Advisory Board of Trustess happening shortly after in 1970. Prior to the mergers, the Board of Directors, whose members were only sisters of the Holy Child Jesus operated seperately of the laypeople's Advisory Board of Trustees.
